About Us (Who We Are)
Shushrusha Ayurvedic and Panchkarma Hospital (SAPH) practices “Back to Basics” with the
sole intent of healing mind, body, and soul using no other knowledge than the one imparted to
human kind through Atharva Veda. Atharva Veda takes us back to the beginning of the medicine
(900 B.C.) era where simple yet the core elements of human body were studied and documented.
Over the years, the knowledge and practices were expanded however, in the process, the basics
have been left behind. We are bringing those basics back which is literally pure science
explaining the root cause of the given disease. Why settle for a temporary fix if you can correct
the core? With more than 40+ years of collective experience between Dr. Jigish Gajjar and Dr.
Asha Gajjar, we take pride to have developed such expertise that will not only help you
understand the imbalance in your body by “Naadi Pariksha” (Pulse Diagnosis) but will also
provide an individualized treatment plan using self-developed herbal concoction (medicine). We
have treated multitude of patients with chronic (long-term) and rare conditions which requires us
to develop special concoction to treat those very patients. We do so gladly because we
understand that the patients’ quality-of-life matters; not only to the patients but also to us. At
SAPH, our utmost goal is to provide the best possible care to the patients which is why we also
use advanced techniques as a supplement to make the best fusion of both ayurvedic and modern
science realm.

While the embedded meaning of the sloka is much deeper than one can translate into a sentence
though in layman’s term, it would literally mean “Services Provided With a Sense of Worship”.
This statement is not only implanted into our hospital logo but also in our daily practice as to
how we continue to strive for the best.

Dr. Jigish Gajjar (B.A.M.S.) (GB1-12661)
Dr. Jigish graduated with Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S.) degree in
year 1997 from Gujarat’s top-rated Government Akhandanand Ayurveda College (GAAC) which
is located right within Gujarat’s most pulsating city named Ahmedabad. Suitably, since his
graduation (23+ years and counting), Dr. Jigish has been practicing Ayurveda in the very city of
Ahmedabad and routinely provides ayurvedic consulting in the various neighboring cities. Dr.
Jigish’ public presence is well-known as he has organized multiple seminars along with free
medical camps including but not limited to the temples and Gujarat’s state police force.
Unlike most Ayurveda consultants, Dr. Jigish is versatile in patients’ care. He recognizes the fact
that formulating Individual Personalized Plan (IPP) for each patient recommending herbal
medicine is very crucial yet it is more beneficial when the herb/medicine provided to the patient
is developed in an authenticate manner. Consequently, Dr. Jigish established own pharmaceutical
company named Maloor Herbal Pharma where 200+ products ; they are all developed by Dr.
Jigish.
Dr. Jigish predominantly treat patients that relates to Internal Medicine and Panchakarma
therapies. His IPP consists of the dose(Matra), vehicle(Anupana), timing(Aushadha kala), and
most importantly crafted by balancing Agni, eliminating Ama, protecting and building Ojas, and
treating disease. He is skilled in Rejuvenating Detox (Panchakarma) and has treated numerous
patients with the spread of toxins (Ama) caused by reckless dietary habits, poor life style, genetic
predisposition of digestive enzymes, metabolic co-factors, hormones, and disorganized
homeostasis.
With keeping focus on clear communication, Dr. Jigish never tends to shy away from telling you
a candid perspective of your medical condition. His peculiar yet straightforward form of
questions combined with relaxed approach is simple yet effective. Rest assured, Dr. Jigish’

Dr. Asha Gajjar (B.A.M.S.) (GB1-13001)
Like fellow owner of SAPH & Maloor Herbal Pharma and her husband, Dr. Asha also graduated
with Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S.) degree in year 1999 from
Gujarat’s top-rated Government Akhandanand Ayurveda College (GAAC) which is located right
within Gujarat’s most pulsating city named Ahmedabad. Apart from more than a couple of
decades of experience treating patients and changing lives, Dr. Asha has made her name known
public being the guest speaker on multiple seminars. During her professional career, she worked
as a visiting lecturer to promote values of Ayurveda in daily life at one of the renown yoga
universities.
Dr. Asha is very much driven with the core notion of “Sound mind in a Sound Body”. Being a
certified Yoga Teacher herself, Dr. Asha understands the intricate balance that harmonizes
between consciousness and the physical state of the body. In addition, Dr. Asha also holds
Master Reiki Certification (Healer) from Usui Shiki Ryoho which aids her to comprehend one’s
natural healing abilities.
Dr. Asha’s focal point in patients’ care is “General Practice of Ayurvedic Medicine” and
“Panchakarma”. She engages holistic approach to help patients gain healthy life-style, eliminate
impurities, reduce stress, and fight disease. Under guidance of world known Naadi Guru Acharya
Vaidya Sanjaykumar Chhajed, Dr. Asha has become one of the few experts in the region to
perform diagnosis of the patients through the ancient method of Naadi-Pariksha (Pulse
Diagnosis) to understand Flaws (Doshas) such as Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.
Providing highest quality and compassionate medical care to all patients is a chief goal to Dr.
Asha and she does it well. The reason is no other than her personable characteristics and solid
belief in making practice “patient centered”. On the whole, Dr. Asha is a strongly dedicated
